I take a maximum of 4 clients a month. Most commonly it is 1-2 people. I want to provide you with individualized care.
I provide in home Well Woman Exams and Pap smear/STI testing. Cost is $150 with pap. Additional tests are extra. This is included as part of your prenatal/ birth package if you wish to do it. We usually perform this at your last postpartum visit.
I send you out for blood work at a different office. You can use insurance but it is usually cheaper to pay it out of pocket for this. Approximately $150 for New OB labs. Your one hour glucose test, Group beta strep and Pap smear are included in the birth fee.
Yes, and I provide the birth tub and pump at no cost to you. You are asked to buy a liner.
No, Insurance does not want to pay for homebirth. I will provide you one itemized receipt and you can attempt to get reimbursement on your own.
No. I have training in breech births, because anything can happen. But I prefer to limit my practice to low risk, head down, singleton babies.
I refer you out depending on insurance or self-pay and we get this done. Usually this is done 18-20 weeks of pregnancy. We can do them at anytime if something else comes up.
I try to always have one other person with me at a birth. They are NRP certified. It might be a student, birth assistant or fellow midwife.
Lab work and ultrasound (if insurance won’t cover it), birth kit, pool liner. Total cost for these things is approximately $400 if insurance not participating.
